Entry-level instrument
August 1st 2007

Combining computer technology with simple operation, the new Pulsar Instruments' sound level meter Model 14 is an entry level instrument intended primarily for use in factory noise surveys.

Particular attention has been paid to the display, and a new design of LCD has been used that offers high legibility in all light conditions.

The unit has the Afrequency weighting required by the EU Directive as well as a C-frequency weighting, both with F-Time weighting or what was called 'Fast response'.

A high sensitivity range is also fitted, going down to 35 decibels to allow noise to be checked at the boundary of any premises to ensure that noise is not escaping from a workplace.
