Noise measurement kits will be unveiled
April 1st 2008

Cirrus Research will unveil a range of noise measurement equipment at Safety & Health Expo.

Among the new products on display will be upgraded versions of the 800C and 260A noise level meters, together a new range of Safety Officers Measurement Kits.

The kits are designed to be used by in-house health and safety officers to measure and record occupational (inside) and environmental (outside) noise. They are intended to help organisations meet their legal obligations with regard to noise safety, without the need to employ external consultants.

Each kit contains a sound level meter and three Cirrus doseBadge personal noise dosemeters. What distinguishes the five separate kits in the range is the specification of the sound level meter. This will be determined by the noise the customer wants to record and how much data they need to store.

The company will exhibit its collection of noise level meters, each of which has been upgraded. The 800C and 260A now include data download to a PC via USB connection.
