Simple to use
August 1st 2006

Norsonic can provide sound level meters and software to help employers ensure that they are complying with the latest noise at work legislation.

The Nor132 sound level meter is robust and simple to use It measures and stores all required parameters simultaneously and these can then be connected via a USB connection to a PC. The user simply drags and drops the measurements to instantly produce test certificates that advise if limits are exceeded.

If a noise problem is identified, then the source of noise should be tackled to bring workers within acceptable limits.

Further protection can be provided with the supplied Nor-Protector software to help the user select the most appropriate type of hearing protection.

In order to prescribe hearing protection, information on the frequency content of the noise is required. The Nor132 is able, in real time, to collect frequency analysis information which is also transferred to the software. The user can add new devices to the on-board database of hearing protection and instantly recalculate exposure levels with different types/ models of hearing protectors.
