The Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force in April 2006 prompting a fresh look at noise problems in the work place to ensure that the new lower noise exposure limits are a reality.

Campbell Associates (CA) Acoustic Instrumentation Hire Service now offers sound level meter kits for this application. They are all BS EN pattern evaluated kits with accredited calibration certificates.

A step-by-step application note guides the assessor through risk assessment procedures. CA says surveys, typically, will only be needed for an initial survey and then for annual or bi-annual reassessment, so hiring instruments ensures capital is not tied up in instruments for intermittent use.
