Updates to noise units
August 1st 2007

Cirrus Research will be presenting a number of new and updated noise measurement instruments at Health & Safety 07.

Among these will be the doseBadge personal noise dosemeter, the simple CR:306 sound level meter and the Safety Officer's noise measurement kit.

The doseBadge has been updated with the introduction of a range of new functions. It retains all the key features of the former version, but has additional measurement functions and charging options. The device has no cables, controls, buttons or displays, reducing the risk of tampering and damage. It is housed in a tough metal case.

To illustrate this point, doseBadge was returned to Cirrus for service and repair after it had been run over by a forklift. Although the casing was damaged, the internal electronics were still functioning. After the case was replaced and the unit recalibrated, doseBadge was returned to the user where it continues to be used.
