A new sound level meter from Extech Instruments features both internal alarm illumination and external alarm output.

Designed for worker safety compliance, the SL130 is suitable for use in industrial environments where there is a need to generate an alert when sound levels exceed a pre-set limit.

Four bright, built-in LEDs alert personnel when the area sound level limit has been exceeded.

The instrument will continuously monitor the sound level in factories. It has user-settable high and low limit (30 to 130dB) indications and an output to drive a remote warning indicator. The red (flashing) or green LEDs can be read from 30m. Maximum readings are recorded with date and time.

The SL130's microphone rotates 180° and is detachable to enable remote monitoring using an optional 5m extension cable.
