Back to work
June 1st 2006

The government must show commitment in its bid to get one million people off incapacity benefit and back to work, or risk more workers being dumped on the ill health and injury scrapheap, according to Lawrence Waterman IOSH immediate past president.

This is the message Lawrence will be sending out at the Empowering People Back to Work conference on 29th June at Cavendish Conference Centre in London.

He says "Occupational health issues are problems that are not going to go away without positive action.

With 35 million days lost and two million people suffering work-related illness, we need to do something now."
