Software solutions February 1st 2008 OCS Cleaning and
Environmental Services has
developed state-of-the-art
software to give window
cleaning team managers and
staff instant access to a
safer and more efficient way
of working.
A new system that
combines wi-fi with
handheld computers (PDAs)
has been developed to
effectively do away with the
traditional paper-based work
bill or work instruction,
allowing continuous review
of work practices and
performance by both
operational management
and health and safety
teams.
Developed by a project
team drawn from a variety of
disciplines, the system sets
work patterns and standards
in a logical and structured
way and is centred around
pre-programmed health and
safety practices built into
the PDA software. These must
be electronically
acknowledged and signed off
by each window cleaning
team manager, acting as a
continuous prompt. More articles from O. C. S. Group Marketing: |
