Key to pain removal
October 1st 2004

When Moira McGilvray, a secretary with Historic Scotland, suffered keyboard-induced pain (RSI) four years ago, she was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and told to take time off work.

After physiotherapy, ultrasonic treatment, exercises and a course of anti-inflammatory tablets, she returned to work, but was unable to cope with her previous typing workload.

Moira’s health and safety officer suggested a PCD Maltron fully-ergonomic keyboard and, one month later, Moira reported that she was happy with her new keyboard after working through the adaptation course.

She reports that since changing keyboards all pre- Maltron symptoms abated quite quickly.
