HELPING CUT OUT MANUAL HANDLING

Equipment from B&B Attachments is used by a UK supermarket chain to eliminate manual handling from its packaging plants.

It has resulted in a quicker, more efficient and cost effective method of breaking down pallet loads.

The supermarket wanted a means of unpacking fresh produce more efficiently.

The solution provided by B&B Attachments was a specially adapted clamp incorporating layer picker and mast. It is used on a wide range of products, including crisps, glass containers and tinned goods.

Used as a stand-alone unit, the attachment can also be adapted for mounting on a forklift truck.

The clamp’s pressure can be adjusted for a range of products and, as it makes contact with the load on all four sides, it requires minimal force to lift and eliminates damage to packaging or product.
