HSE launches five year strategy
June 25th 2009 The HSE has launched a new health and safety strategy for Great Britain Be Part of the Solution with an emphasis on the role everyone can play in improving health and safety.
Key goals of the new strategy include: building competence to promote sensible and proportionate risk management, increasing the involvement of the workforce by promoting consultation in health and safety matters and, creating healthier safer workplaces by specifically targeting key health issues.
The new strategy coincides with a re-vamped website, a move to make ACoPs (Approved Codes of Practice) free to download from HSE’s website and the launch of a pledge (a commitment to improving health and safety that organisations and individuals can sign up to).
