HSE steps up slips and trips campaign
October 9th 2005

‘Don’t feel bad when someone else trips up – take positive action’ is the thrust of the HSE’s latest effort to reduce slip and trip accidents at work.

Under the banner ‘Watch Your Step’, the executive has produced a new flier reminding employees that many accidents can be avoided by preventative action – e.g. if you see a spill, clean it up.

The leaflet also details the typical cause of accidents, how to prevent them and what inspectors expect to find in terms of risk management. The note also contains simple tips and links to advice on implementing management systems.
