Simply effective health and safety toolkit October 9th 2005 A new book from IOSH Services is billed as ‘a practical, one-stop health and safety toolkit’. HSM editor, Ian Clay, attended the launch.
The distillation of author Bryan Toone’s 25 years experience in health and safety, Protect your people – and your business condenses over 100 HSE and other publications into 300 pages, as the IOSH attempts to spread its message beyond its membership.
As well as breaking down health and safety into manageable chunks, the book also includes clear and succinct checklists and is packed with training tips and hard facts, demystifying jargon and explaining legal requirements along the way.
Toone (health and safety director of Ardmore Construction, a member of the IOSH Council and former chairman of the IOSH Construction Specialist Group) wrote the book to be used not only by those who have undergone health and safety training as a back up to their knowledge but also to promote thoughts amongst those who haven’t been trained yet.
