T Mobile takes heart attack action

T Mobile has traine 65 of its UK staff to administer early defibrillation and installed six Laerdal defibrillators at its Hatfield HQ.

With a further 10 units being delivered to T Mobile’s other UK offices, the health and safety programme has been initiated so that if a member of staff should suffer cardiac arrest, trained staff can quickly administer treatment. Over 270,000 people in the UK suffer a heart attack every year. If defibrillated within two to three minutes of collapse, the chances of survival increase by 50%.
