New software simplifies Noise at Work compliance
December 12th 2006

Pulsar Instruments has released its NEW Analyser download, analysis and reporting software package to boost the already extensive facilities provided by the Model 30 Real Time Analyser.

The latest version 1.1.0 launched in November enables the user to download measurements from the Model 30 (and Model 80 Assessor series) sound level meters. This data can then be viewed both graphically and numerically, making professional reporting both quick and straightforward.

Daily Exposure calculations are automatically computed and presented in a comprehensive report format with options to display when any, or all, of the six Action or Legal Limit values have been reached or exceeded. A section then allows the Safety Manager to detail what key remedial actions need to be implemented.

The software contains a comprehensive database of hearing protection. Once a 1:1 Octave Band Analysis measurement has been downloaded to your PC all assumed protection level calculations are performed giving the user the resultant level at the ear after the attenuation provided by each PPE. To comply with the latest HSE recommendations the option of applying the ‘Real Life’ factor (wear rate, correct fitting condition etc) of 4dB has been included.

The Model 30 is available as either a Class 1 or Class 2 (Model 30-2) instrument or as full measurement kits containing everything you need to carry out your noise survey.
