Get your bird flu masks here
May 5th 2006

With the news that two farms in Norfolk have been hit with a mild strain of bird flu (H7N3 as opposed to H5N1), Scott’s announcement that its respiratory protection equipment (RPE) fully conforms to the recommendations of health authorities and agencies trying to contain the virus is timely.

Part of Tyco fire and Security, Scott says its range of filters – available with half masks or powered respirators with hoods – will meet the needs of those working with birds and poultry, involved with culling/clean up, and medical support workers and carers. The company says its latest Profile2 mask is also suitable for any individuals who might be worried about contact and infection.
