Free seminars for food and drink manufacturers September 4th 2006 A new code of practice designed to help food manufacturers comply with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations was recently introduced by the British Retail Consortium in conjuncton with the British Compressed Air Society.
The code sets out recommendatons that cover all aspecs fo compressed air quality including humidity and microbiological contamination in line with levels speciified by ISO 8573.1 the internal standard for air quality.
BCAS member, domnick hunter, is holding a free seminar for food and drink manufacturers/processors to help guide them through the new code of practice. It will also provide recommendations for the installation and maintenance of a cost effective compressed air purification system. domnick hunter makes such systems.
In addtion, the seminar will cover the European Industrial Gas Assocition (EIGA) Specification for Food Grade Nitrogen and explain thhe benefiits of nitrogen generatos, which can give substantial cost savings when it comes to Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).
