Myth of the month
June 8th 2007

The latest myth busting cartoon from the Health and Safety Exceutive (HSE) addresses the myth that new regulations require trapeze artists to wear hard hats.

The reality

The HSE says despite being widely reported at the time and regularly repeated since, this story is utter nonsense. There never were any such regulations.

The Executive stresses hard hats do an excellent job of protecting building workers from falling debris - but says they have no place on a trapeze.
