Product Innovation Awards
May 8th 2007

The BSIF is keen to encourage the development of new products which will contribute to improvements in occupational safety and launched its Product Innovation Award scheme, in conjunction with the organisers of the Safety & Health Expo, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham each year, to reward the “best” suppliers in the health and safety industry.

To win an award, the product or service needs to evidence a unique concept, design or performance or the innovative use of existing technology which is newly applied to occupational safety and health.

In addition, the judging panel will take a view on the actual or potential contribution that the product or service will bring towards reductions in occupational injuries and improvements in safety practices and procedures in the workplace.

The judging panel consists of senior safety industry personalities from organisations such as the BSIF, RoSPA and the TUC working with senior representatives of industrial organisations which have earned a reputation for their exemplary health and safety cultures.
