A+A roundup October 1st 2007 Now extending over nine exhibition halls, the A+A exhibition in Dusseldorf is the world's largest show aimed at the health and safety market place.
This year, 80+ British companies exhibited, of which over 30 received a UK Trade & Investment grant, organised through the BSIF. To support the British exhibitors, the BSIF also offered a free translation service, along with a UK stand show guide focused upon the UK industries strengths of reliability, innovation, service and quality.
In fact this year, innovative products and services from the UK were one of the main events. New materials reducing heat stress in warm environments, emergency monitors, new equipment in height safety and new intrinsically safe light systems were among the many new developments on show.
The show is truly international and attracts both exhibitors and visitors from across the world. For 2007 the USA along with Canada organised national stands, while Chinese exhibitors had a whole hall to themselves.
All types of safety equipment from head to toe personal safety, through skin care, signs, site safety and many other areas were fully represented. New IT systems and services to the health and safety world were widely available. With the exhibition linked to the Safety Congress, within which a series of major lectures and workshops are held, the show had something for everyone in the health and safety world.
The next A+A show takes place in autumn 2009.
