Why take the risk?
May 12th 2008

How many times have you wanted some advice on safety, but found that because you brought your safety goods from your general industrial supplier he didn’t really know the answer. To assist, the Distributor Association of BSIF are launching a campaign entitled ‘Why take the risk?’

Following comments like ‘He said it would be ok, but it wasn’t. He obviously didn’t know the first think about safety gloves’ and ‘No point in asking our supplier, his skills are in stationary’, the BSIF distributor members believe its time to explain why safety is singular and needs careful selection, training and help.

As we all know, the Health & Safety at Work acts and the new Corporate Manslaughter legislation put the onus on the employer to get it right or face the wrath of the law, both on the individuals involved and the company. But can you get it right by just looking in a catalogue or on-line? Are you really getting what you need or what is in stock? Does the person your talking to have the knowledge to help?

Why take the risk? Get help from the experts in safety supply. BSIF Distributor Association members.
