Porter Bros awarded prestigious supplier status
July 21st 2008

Great Harwood-based protective clothing distributor Porter Bros has become the only supplier in East Lancashire to distribute an award winning brand of high visibility clothing.

The company, based on Heys Lane Industrial Estate, was awarded sole supplier status of the exclusive Pulsar and Pulsarail clothing ranges following the launch of Praybourne’s Official Praybourne Reseller Agreement (OPRA) earlier this year.

This means that anyone who wants to purchase the top quality clothing, including other resellers in the area, will have to shop at the Great Harwood store.

The win comes just in time for the company’s brand new, over 100 page, bumper catalogue launch which incorporates the entire Pulsar and Pulsarail ranges and other essential PPE accessories.

Managing director, Tony Martin, said: “We were approached by Praybourne to become the sole supplier of the high-visibility clothing brands Pulsar and Pulsarail and were immediately impressed with the quality of the garments.

“The company has obviously put a great deal of effort and thought in to the design and development of every single style. The market is saturated with cheap high-visibility clothing and there is a real need for a range that takes things a step further.

“That is exactly what we have got with Pulsar and Pulsarail and I expect them to fly out of the door.”

The high visibility range includes class 3 breathable foul weather clothing, polo shirts certified to provide Solar Protection Factor of 50+ and a Teflon coated work wear range that stays cleaner and brighter for longer.

OPRA is set to enlist a select number of resellers throughout the UK who will have exclusive access to the Pulsar and Pulsarail clothing range.

Matt Higham, business development manager at Praybourne, said: “When we launched the agreement I knew Porter Bros would be the ideal partner to distribute our Pulsar and Pulsarail branded clothing range in the East Lancashire region.

“It is great to have such a well established name on our books and I am looking forward to working closely with them in the future.”
