Spill management training courses
August 27th 2009

It is important for companies who deploy spill kits to be able to demonstrate adequate training and simulations to ensure the competence of the work force when faced with a spill situation. Safety Unlimited offers spill response and prevention training for dealing with hazardous liquids. Courses provide essential knowledge and skills to prevent damage to a site and the environment and ensure rapid containment in a hazardous situation.

Training benefits:

• Training scenarios mirrors real life situations in the work place

• Enables staff to use spill response products efficiently

• Reduces waste and saves fines

• Prevents injury

The spill management training takes place at the company’s site and is tailored according to the business needs and personnel involved. The courses are suited to take a maximum of 15 delegates and the duration of the course is approximately 3 hours.

• Part one covers a wide overview health and safety issues including laws and regulations, personal safety and the consequences of pollution.

• Part two involves a ‘hands on’ interactive and practical demonstration of all relevant products.

• Part three is a simulated spill incident where delegates will be divided into teams and are required to use the products provided and deal with the situation.
