Dates announced for machinery safety certification March 11th 2009 Laidler Associates has announced course dates for its new University Certificate in Professional Development (UPCD) in Machinery Safety - said to be the first certification of its kind in the world.
The UPCD was launched recently in conjunction with the University of Teesside – it forms part of the University’s engineering degree faculty, and is also part of the Lailder’s training services expansion. It will make use of Laidler’s virtual reality technology – which means that it can put a fully functional machine into any training room anywhere in the world.
The certificate, as with many of the company’s training services, is in direct response to industry’s need for training in critical areas of safety such as CE marking and PUWER (Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations).
To address this lack of specific training, the UCPD in Machinery Safety is a qualification that reflects a high level of risk assessment capabilities as well as effective safety training.
