Why bump testing saves lives
February 8th 2010

A new white paper from Industrial Scientific reveals the correlation between bump test intervals and gas detector failures.

The white paper is said to break new ground with an analysis of data collected over a seven-year period. It goes beyond simply describing what the test is and what it does. A solid correlation exists between a gas detector's likelihood of failure and how often it is bump tested. The paper explores that data, which supports the need for routine bump testing.

The white paper also covers:

• The probability of gas detector failures

• The reasons for gas detector failures

• Why bump tests can prevent these failures

• How to bump test more often with less time and effort
