Subsidised training available as part of new campaign
March 2nd 2010

The HSE is offering subsidised training courses as part of a new campaign,

Safe and sound at work: Do your bit, which aims to get workers more involved in health & safety.

Experience shows that workplaces where employees play an active part in health and safety often have lower accident rates than those which don't. It is suggested that talking, listening and co-operating helps to get the best from your workforce and will encourage closer working relationships, as well as a safer workplace.

Campaign resources include a step-by-step guide which shows how to effectively and efficiently involve workers in health and safety and two new subsidised health and safety training courses designed to:

• help organisations get started with worker involvement; or

• improve their existing arrangements for involving workers
