 Spill prevention and response training courses

Companies handling hazardous substances should provide their workforce with adequate training to ensure competence when dealing with hazardous liquid spills and leaks.

Training takes place at the company’s site and is tailored according to the business needs. Courses are suited to take a maximum of 15 delegates. The duration of each course is approximately 3 hours.

Course content

Part one: Overview of health and safety issues including laws and regulations, personal safety and the consequences of pollution.

Part two: ‘Hands on’ interactive and practical demonstration of all relevant products.

Part three: Simulated spill incident where teams of delegates use the spill products and deal with the situation.

Part four: Debrief session for delegates to reflect on their performance.

Refresher courses and Tool Box Talks are also available.

Free site audits are also available before or after the training to assess the storage and usage of hazardous liquids, advise on compliance with current spill related legislation and the level of contingency planning.
