Introducing the Optimus range from Cirrus Research
May 24th 2011

Cirrus Research is developing a range of sound level meters that incorporate the very latest technology in an easy to use design; the Optimus range has the ability to measure the most basic noise levels to specialist high level noise. The range covers the full spectrum of noise measurement needs for different applications and sectors and comprises instruments represented by a unique colour; Optimus Yellow, Red and Green. The Optimus Yellow and Red were launched back in 2009, whilst the Optimus Green was launched in July 2010 and is the latest sound level meter to join the Optimus family.

The Optimus Yellow is the most basic model in the Optimus range and is suitable for simple noise level testing. Whilst the Optimus Red incorporates the same sound level functions as the Optimus Yellow as well as the additional ability to measure occupational and industrial hygiene noise. It is easy to use and has a high resolution colour display and a 120db dynamic range.

Finally, the Optimus Green is suitable for health and safety and environmental measurements. Like the other Optimus sound level meters, it can be used for basic noise and for noise at work measurements and every measurement made contains all of the available functions so there is no risk of selecting the wrong parameter or function. It also benefits from an easy to use interface and 120dB dynamic range featured in the Optimus range.

All Cirrus noise measurement products benefit from free customer support service.
