Happy 40th Birthday Cirrus Research
July 26th 2011

Over the past 12 months, Cirrus Research has been celebrating its 40th birthday by hosting a number of special events, including an exclusive driving day at Palmersport’s race track and a tea party at Safety and Health Expo.

At the race day, guests were given the chance to test their skills by driving a number of high performance cars around a variety of challenging tracks, including a BMW M3, a Formula Jaguar and a Land Rover Defender.

Cirrus Research has had cause for double celebrations with its Optimus Green sound level meter winning a Highly Commended in the Product and Innovation category at this year’s BSIF Safety Awards.

After 40 years in business, Cirrus Research has firmly established itself as a leading expert in the world of noise monitoring, providing equipment for a variety of applications including environmental, industrial and nuisance noise. Manufactured in the UK, Cirrus noise measurement instruments are used in a wide range of applications and across many different industries, incorporating the very latest in scientific and technological developments. Since its formation in 1970, the company has continued to grow and is now venturing into a number of new sectors, including its newest product targeted at housing associations, the Trojan noise nuisance recorder. The expanding range of Optimus sound level meters has also allowed Cirrus to move into previously unchartered sectors, which will continue to grow with the introduction of other sound level meters to the Optimus family in the coming years.
