Free seminar programmes announced at regional health and safety events
June 29th 2011

The free seminar programmes for the forthcoming Health and Safety events in Scotland and Bolton have been announced and registration is available at www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk.

Health and Safety – Scotland takes place at The Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh on 7-8th September 2011 while Health and Safety – North is held at The Reebok Stadium, Bolton on 5th and 6th October.

Both events contain a free conference programme which is topical and in tune with the issues that are affecting the work place today, providing free information and advice for all participants. A perfect example of this is the seminar Legal Update - Relevant Developments in H&S Law which will give an update on health and safety law in Scotland and will appeal to those who work in any sector. Presented by Laura Cameron, Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution (Scotland & NI), McGrigors LLP, the presentation will include a review of legal developments over the past 12 months including consideration of the first prosecution under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act and a review of the fines imposed in Scotland for health and safety offences.

Each event has its own separate conference programme but one session which is taking place at both venues is a new drama based presentation Safety Leadership and Culture delivered by Shaun Curry and Harry Gallagher of Macnaughton McGregor. The session promises to be interactive, practical and effective and the organisers of the presentation say their style of delivery effects a long-term change in attitude – not just a short term change in behaviour - and helps to build lasting positive cultural change.

Along with event partners 3M, Ansell, Arco and DuPont, the events are supported by the British Safety Council and officially endorsed by the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).

Free parking is provided at the event and registering for the exhibition and seminars are also free. You can register online at
