Barrier with a message

Staff and visitors to British Energy’s nuclear power plant at Dungeness now benefit from a Tensator Beam and Banner system that sections off a low-risk contamination area at the plant.

The system provides a physical barrier and reinforces safety messages by generating improved awareness and clearer signage in the area.

British Energy needed barriers that were solid in structure and allowed for the inclusion of banner signage. Heather Hale of Dungeness Power Plant’s environmental safety group, comments “Staff have been extremely supportive of the new demarcation system which has proved to be a drastic improvement since its introduction.

“The system has been well received and has earned the approval and confidence of managers who are responsible for upholding our safety culture.”
