Enabling switch for safety functions June 1st 2008 The new ZSM enabling switch
from Euchner is more than
just an ordinary manually
operated enabling device. It
features a modern, modular,
lightweight and ergonomic
design, which makes it
suitable for many different
control and safety related
functions.
Enabling switches are
subject to continuous
manual actuation, and used
together with other control
switches for commands
enabling potentially
hazardous conditions to be
run. These switches are used
wherever personnel are
required to work directly on
running machines and
systems, with the obvious
associated hazards and
dangers. This is necessary,
for example, during setting
up, programming, testing or
servicing work.
The modular design means
additional functions can be
integrated. Additional
components, including a
stop device, an LED indicator
or a key-operated switch,
means that the ZSM offers a
high degree of versatility
and turns the unit virtually
into a small hand-held
pendant station.
With its rubberised grip,
the low weight switch lies
securely in the hand. More articles from Euchner (UK) Limited: |
