BOLT INTERLOCKS ISOLATE POWER
December 1st 2004

Two modular mechanical bolt interlocks from Fortress Interlocks have been designed to interface directly with devices such as power breakers, valves and earth switches, indirectly interlocking power sources.

Part of the m-Gard range, the bolt module (BM) and stainless steel version (BMS) power isolation devices are designed to ensure that all energy sources are reduced to zero before access to potentially hazardous machinery is made.

Single or multiple access locks are available. For a single module, BM1, with the key free the bolt is usually in the extended position. To retract the bolt, the key must be inserted and trapped (reverse sequence available on request.) Operation of the key extends or withdraws the bolt which may be used to interface with mechanical linkages, such as levers or cams on proprietary switchgear.
