Breaking boundaries
August 1st 2005 Megger has launched a new clampmeter that breaks the boundaries of conventional current measurement. Not only does the MMC850 clampmeter enable currents to be accurately and easily measured in standard single conductor cables up to 200A, but it also measures currents in multicore flexible or installed (twin and earth) cables up to 100A.
MMC850 users will no longer need to take the risk or time in disconnecting a circuit and separating the wires to clamp just a single conductor; though conveniently the facility is there for when circumstances demand. The product is safety rated to IEC 61010 Cat 111.
The MMC850 offers a wide frequency response – from 45 to 400Hz – which means it can be used across virtually all power applications, including military and aviation. More articles from Megger Limited: |
