'counterfeit kills' dvd

BEAMAInstallation says it is reinforcing its ongoing campaign to combat counterfeit electrical products with a new makeover of its hard-hitting 'Counterfeit Kills' film.

The free, 6min DVD (also available as a CD ROM) features a new creative treatment to highlight the potential dangers – fire, death, injury – and the impact on reputation and business from specifying/ installing inferior quality electrical accessories.

Dave Dossett, director of BEAMAInstaller, says that sophisticated production techniques mean it is often difficult to distinguish counterfeit from genuine.

However, he says many counterfeit products are not what they might seem; for example, circuit breakers with no breaker inside, just a switch.
