Edges with ASi capability
June 1st 2004 The latest range of Safe Edges from Leuze Mayser have ASi Bus capability. Both installation time and costs are reduced.
Safe Edges are tactile devices that respond instantly to pressure. Once the device has been triggered its signal is recognised by a safety monitor module within the ASi network to prevent further machine operation.
Profiles are available to suit a wide range of applications; the smallest being 20mm high. Most are built to order in the UK, providing customised lengths that match application needs.
Sealed within the tough rubber profile are two foil strips housed in a water-proof memory tube. When external pressure is applied to the profile, the strips are pressed onto each other, actuating a switching signal. More articles from Leuze electronic Ltd: |
