Light Tape has announced the integration of a new series of DC and AC CEcertified power supplies for efficient coverage of its wide range of Light Tape electroluminescent lighting system applications.

Included are PSUs to drive from mains supplies 150 to 400in2 of Light Tape, as well as battery powered DC drivers from 3 to 12V driving up to 500in2.

There are also specially developed 9V wearable power supplies for fire and rescue teams, police and other uniforms that need to be seen in safety and emergency applications.

The new range of power supplies is said to deliver greater system versatility to the low cost, low power lighting system.

Light Tape EL lighting operates from the low voltage supplies for applications ranging from directional strip lighting and uniform/clothing to security, automotive, architectural and entertainment applications, as well as advertising display and graphics display light boxes.

Power consumption is just 0.25mA/in2. A 1in wide by 300ft long Light Tape, for example, consumes less power than a 100W light bulb.
