Battery-powered, handheld tester
August 1st 2006

An entry-level workplace electrical equipment safety tester from Seaward Electronic combines the functionality of a portable appliance tester with an IEC lead tester and power socket checker in a single unit.

Primetest 100 is a battery powered, handheld tester that is designed for fast, effective safety checking of all types of Class I and Class II portable electrical equipment.

The unit is aimed at those who require an easyto- use instrument for testing and servicing applications. The tester also carries out IEC lead polarity tests and checks the socket is wired correctly.

Universal graphics guide the user through three test modes, and a single push button establishes the appropriate sequences for the selected tests. These are carried out against preset pass/fail limits. A large LCD indicates pass or fail, as well as test values.
