Checks for RF leakage
August 1st 2006

First Stop Safety has introduced an easy-to-use, accurate meter for checking RF leakage from microwave ovens.

Such devices are frequently used in the workplace and, after a period of time, door seals can become faulty and cause leakage levels above the recommended limit.

Not only can excessive leakage be a problem for staff, it can be a danger to women who are pregnant. Regular checks on the oven can be carried out at the same time as portable appliance testing.

The Microwave Checker is used along door seals and the front glass and shows different levels of any leakage pass, replace soon and fail.

The instrument is also supplied with 25 'RF Emission Tested' labels for use on tested equipment.
