PAT test in-house
August 1st 2008

First Stop Safety has launched a Portable Appliance Tester, the 'Batt PAT'. It is an easy-to-use, battery operated tester, providing a simple PASS/FAIL result, and enables businesses to save money by carrying out testing in-house.

"The most exciting thing about the Batt PAT is its flexibility," says Charley Downey, at First Stop Safety. "Unlike many other entrylevel PAT testers, it can be used to safely and effectively test IT equipment, surge-protected devices and even long extension leads over 20 metres. It can be used in conjunction with standard accessories; such as 3-phase and 110v adaptors, so you can use it to test just about anything. It is batterypowered and rechargeable, so you simply plug it into the mains to charge the unit.
