PROFESSIONAL CABLE LOCATOR LAUNCHED
August 1st 2005 Fluke has extended its electrical testing range by adding an extra product category. A new professional cable locator can be used to trace cables in walls and in the ground using a digitally encoded signal to reliably avoid interference signals.
The Fluke 2042 Cable Locator will not only trace cables and metal pipes but will also trace metal water and heating pipes in HVAC applications. It will help to quickly locate fuses and circuit breakers on final circuits, as well as interruptions and short circuit in cables. A transmitter unit emits a digitally coded signal that guarantees clear signal identification by the receiver unit: any false interpretation caused by interference signals is therefore eliminated. Both handheld test units have clear backlit LCD digital and bargraph displays.
