Common sense testing
September 1st 2010

Seaward has introduced two free booklets providing guidance for companies, organisations and contractors involved in workplace electrical safety testing.

The new publications are intended to help those involved understand how electrical health and safety obligations can be fulfilled in a realistic and cost effective manner – without the need for unnecessary or over excessive inspection and testing regimes.

The first booklet in the series, 'A Common Sense Approach to Electrical Safety Testing in the Workplace', is aimed at companies and organisations that utilise or commission portable appliance testing services.

The other publication in the series is aimed at the contractor or individual planning to establish a safety testing business offering PAT testing services: The Responsible Business Builder booklet. It also specifically emphasises the importance of a professional and common sense approach.
