Records condition of safety equipment
February 1st 2007

Seaward Electronic's new PrimeTest 300 has been designed to make the testing and inspection of a wide range of workplace safety equipment and appliances as fast and effective as possible.

The handheld tester provides a simple, convenient way to record periodic safety inspection and test data for workplace safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, smoke and fire alarm systems and emergency lighting – as well as all electrical appliances.

The PT300 can record information in keeping with the requirements of a wide range of safety legislation, including BS5266 Emergency Lighting, BS5839 concerning Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Buildings and the BS5306 code of practice for the Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

Recorded details can include notes on physical condition and the results of functional or operational tests, plus date, location and identity of the person carrying out the inspection .
