The handheld tester provides a simple, convenient way to record periodic safety inspection and test data for workplace safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, smoke and fire alarm systems and emergency lighting – as well as all electrical appliances. The PT300 can record information in keeping with the requirements of a wide range of safety legislation, including BS5266 Emergency Lighting, BS5839 concerning Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Buildings and the BS5306 code of practice for the Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers. Recorded details can include notes on physical condition and the results of functional or operational tests, plus date, location and identity of the person carrying out the inspection .
