Tests all electrics
February 1st 2009

Power support company Merlin Power Management, has expanded its range of services with the introduction of Fixed Wire Testing enabling it to offer customers testing on the entire electrical infrastructure of a building including cabling, LV & HV switchgear and UPS.

Fixed Wire Testing, also known as Periodic Testing, is fast becoming a statutory requirement of many insurance companies due to the growing amount of technology and equipment being used in today's environment. Many insurance companies now request FWT certificates before they provide a quotation.

After testing has been carried out a full report is produced on the condition of the installation. This includes an electrical circuit schematic diagram of the low voltage distribution systems within the building together with details of any remedial action required.
