PROCESS SAFETY: JARGON BUSTED
April 1st 2005

ABB has launched the latest weapon in its campaign to cut through industry jargon and get us all speaking the same, clear language.

The company’s Safety Jargon Buster guides the user through the minefield of technical terms that surround industrial process safety, including those relating to the IEC61508 and IEC61511 standards.

Using plain English, the guide provides a glossary for those responsible for purchasing, handling or designing safety equipment and systems for process applications.

Using hyperlinks, users can quickly find any definition in the guide.

Links within each article lead to further definitions on related topics.

Available as a PDF file, the guide is free; just send an email via hsmsearch.com.
