HAV monitoring system gives the green light
November 1st 2009

To help manage manage hand arm vibration amongst workers, councils including Norfolk County Council, West Lothian and Carmarthenshire have implemented reactec's HAVmeter system – a portable device the size and shape of a pager that displays an accurate reading of

the vibration exposure levels an operative is subjected to throughout the day.

The meter also provides the HSE points system through a traffic light display function, flashing amber for EAV and red for ELV. Information on exposure levels, tool usage and further data can then be downloaded at the end of the shift, providing tool maintenance monitoring.
