ATEX-approved
December 1st 2004

Elfab has extended its Flo- Tel burst-detection range into the bursting panel market with the launch of Panel Flo-Tel.

ATEX-approved, the new device is supplied as standard with Elfab’s ATEXendorsed bursting panels.

Suitable for arduous applications, the sensor has ATEX accreditation for use in Zone 0 and Zone 20 hazardous areas.

Panel Flo-Tel is based on the company’s magnetically actuated detection system that provides an open signal once the panel has operated. It is said to guarantee fail-safe detection and to minimise the risk of spurious alarms. No mounting brackets are needed and connection to an intrinsically safe circuit is straightforward.

Panels are of corrosionresistant 316 stainless steel, but can be supplied in other materials. Sizes are from 0.08m to 2.4m2.

Bursting panels operate over a set pressure range of 0.05 to 0.5barg and from -40 to 250°C.
