Hygienic pressure relief
December 1st 2004

A pressure relief system has been introduced by Elfab for use in aseptic and hygienic process conditions.

Hygienic Opti-Gard has a non-fragmenting, reverseacting bursting disc with a smooth, uninterrupted surface finish to reduce contamination and maximise stream sterilisation and clean-inplace procedures. To simplify installation, it is designed to fit directly between ISO2852 standard food industry couplings and clamp fittings.

Hygienic Opti-Gard is supplied with Elfab’s ATEX-approved Integral Flo-Tel burst-detection device, a non-invasive, magneticallyactuated and completely reusable detection system that ensures fail-safe detection and minimises the risk of spurious alarms.
