EARTHQUAKE SCIENCE HELPS CUT VIBRATION
October 1st 2005

Makita says it has introduced the safest heavy duty power tools available, with vibration ratings that are almost 50% lower than comparable products.

The company’s Anti Vibration Technology (AVT) uses the science of dynamic damping to dramatically reduce rotary vibration and, at the same time, increase impact power by up to 75%.

AVT is demonstrated in the giant HM1810, the 30g braker used by demolition and road repair operators.

Now, with AVT built-in, the 1700W hammer breaker delivers up to 1000 blows per minute with impact power enhanced by 15% while vibration is slashed to just 8m/s2, lower than many 2kg handheld rotary hammer drills.

In the popular 6kg hammer drill sector, the new Makita HR4011C 1100w machine with AVT has a vibration rating of just 4m/s2. The company says this is almost 50% lower than its nearest competitor and 33% lower than Makita’s previous model.
