PROTECTION AGAINST VIBRATION PROBLEMS
October 1st 2004

The European Union has issued a new directive to protect workers from mechanical vibrations.

Grammer’s new seat for forklifts and compact construction machines complies with requirements.

Anyone constantly subjected to mechanical vibrations while working runs a considerably greater risk of suffering damage to muscles, bones and joints and developing neurological ailments and circulatory problems.

Protection against vibration and easy compliance with strict EU rules are provided by the new Primo seat. It is believed to be the first of its kind to have lowfrequency air suspension or mechanical suspension with quick adjustment to the driver’s weight.

Primo M is said to have the lowest SIT (Seat Index Point) of any seat with full suspension, at just 200mm.

Primo XL, with an SIT of 238mm is said to set a new standard among seats with low frequency air suspension.

This guarantees maximum suspension comfort in a minimum of space.
